The 10th China Yiwu International Auto & Motorcycle Parts Fair (Yiwu Auto Parts Fair) will be held in grand style at the Yiwu International Expo Center from September 12-14, 2025. Designated as a key exhibition in the third batch by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, this year's event reached a record high, with an exhibition area of 34,000 square meters, a 36% increase over the previous edition. It attracted 1,600 high-quality exhibitors. The drivetrain system exhibition area, featuring automotive drive shaft assemblies, CV joint axles, and other components, saw a 35% year-on-year surge in booths, becoming one of the show's most notable highlights.

According to the organizing committee, the 9th Yiwu Auto Parts Fair achieved a transaction volume of 96.5 million yuan in intended transactions and attracted 33,426 professional buyers, including 5,512 international buyers. This year's fair, while maintaining its export-oriented focus, further focused on the upgrading trend of core components for new energy vehicles. Several industry leaders, including Shaoxing Huafangyuan Transmission Technology Co., Ltd., have confirmed their participation in the exhibition. They will showcase innovative products such as lightweight driveshaft assemblies and high-torque ball joint half shafts made of carbon fiber composite materials. These products are highly sought after in the market for their significant improvements in the range and power transmission efficiency of new energy vehicles.

The explosive growth of the driveshaft market is driven by multiple factors. The latest industry report indicates that with the global number of new energy vehicles exceeding 150 million, demand for driveshafts is undergoing a structural upgrade. The global market size is expected to reach tens of billions of dollars by 2025, with Asia, particularly China, leading the growth. Lightweight material applications and innovations in intelligent manufacturing are driving accelerated product iteration. As a global auto parts trading hub, Yiwu is becoming a key springboard for driveshaft companies to expand into markets along the Belt and Road Initiative. This year's exhibition will feature a special Cross-Border Sourcing Technology Forum, which will focus on the entry standards and technical requirements of emerging markets such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Notably, the growth of the driveshaft exhibition area has far outpaced the overall expansion of the exhibition, reflecting the profound transformation of the industry. The transition from traditional fuel vehicles to new energy vehicles is shifting drivetrains from a single power transmission function to intelligent power distribution systems, placing higher demands on driveshafts for precision, strength, and lightweighting. Leveraging the strengths of Zhejiang's industrial clusters, local companies have achieved breakthroughs in key processes such as precision forging and laser welding, resulting in some exhibits boasting over 15% higher transmission efficiency than traditional products.

During the exhibition, in addition to product displays across four major exhibition halls, the organizing committee will also host multiple procurement matchmaking sessions, expected to attract over 30,000 professional visitors. Special technical exchange sessions will be held for core components such as drivetrains, inviting OEM engineers and exhibitors to discuss next-generation product development directions. Officials from the Yiwu Municipal Government stated that, leveraging the foreign trade network of the small commodity market and the advantages of the exhibition economy, the auto parts exhibition has become a key platform for promoting the upgrading of the local auto parts industry. The success of this exhibition will further solidify Yiwu's position as a hub in the global auto parts supply chain.

As the opening date approaches, preparations for the exhibition are entering the final sprint. Industry insiders predict that with the dual benefits of the rapid development of the new energy vehicle industry and the continued recovery of international trade, this year's Yiwu Auto Parts Exhibition is expected to achieve an intended transaction volume of over 120 million yuan, of which the proportion of cross-border transactions of transmission system-related products will increase to more than 25%, injecting strong impetus into the development of the industry.
