On September 4th, the highly anticipated 5th China (Wenzhou) International Auto & Motorcycle Parts Expo opened grandly at the Wenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. This UFI-certified industry event, which runs until September 6th, attracted over 1,500 exhibitors and 30,000 professional buyers from around the world to the "Auto & Motorcycle Parts Capital of China" to witness the innovative strength and global influence of China's auto parts industry.

 

This expo, themed "China Auto Parts & Specialty Factory Exhibition," spanned over 40,000 square meters of exhibition space, featuring eight themed pavilions showcasing innovative achievements across the entire industry chain, from traditional fuel vehicle components to new energy vehicle systems. As China's first UFI-certified auto parts exhibition, the Wenzhou International Auto & Motorcycle Parts Expo has achieved remarkable growth, from 350 companies and 15,000 square meters at its inaugural event to 1,500 exhibitors and 40,000 square meters today, becoming a vital benchmark for global auto parts professionals seeking to capture business opportunities. Supported by a comprehensive industrial chain comprised of over 4,000 local Wenzhou companies, the exhibition showcased the unique advantages of "origin production + global market." Not only were star products from leading companies like Guansheng Group's transmission systems and Gold's shock absorption technology on display, but over 5,000 varieties of auto parts and components from 12 categories were also showcased, offering a comprehensive "from blueprint to finished product" display. A dedicated area dedicated to key components for new energy vehicles was a focal point, showcasing cutting-edge technologies such as 325Wh/kg solid-state batteries and intelligent driving controllers, highlighting the Wenzhou auto parts industry's proactive approach to the new energy transition.

 

Among the numerous exhibits, a new series of drive shafts presented by a local company garnered widespread attention. Utilizing an integrated forging process, these products achieve a transmission efficiency of 98.5% while reducing weight by 15% compared to traditional products, making them a perfect match for the power requirements of new energy commercial vehicles and high-end passenger vehicles. According to company officials, this drive shaft combines Wenzhou's advantages in high-quality steel supply and precision machining. After undergoing 1,200 hours of durability testing, it maintains stable performance in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 120°C, and has already attracted interest from several new energy vehicle manufacturers.

 

"Connecting with global buyers right here in Wenzhou" became a common sentiment among exhibitors. Leveraging a professional buyer database covering 68 countries worldwide, the exhibition has seen an average annual growth of 25% in the number of international buyers, with overseas purchasing groups from over 10 countries, including Germany, Iran, and Mexico, visiting for on-site inspections and negotiations. This dual model of "direct sourcing from the source + global connectivity" fully leverages the advantages of Wenzhou's auto parts industry cluster, with an annual output value exceeding 95 billion yuan. The previous exhibition generated 830 million yuan in potential orders and 240 million yuan in actual sales, demonstrating the exhibition's strong commercial value.

 

A representative from the Wenzhou Municipal Bureau of Economic and Information Technology stated that the expo has become a key driver of regional industrial upgrading. Wenzhou's auto parts industry is accelerating its transformation toward electrification and intelligent driving. Numerous companies have secured supply contracts with domestic new energy vehicle OEMs such as BYD, Geely, SAIC, and NIO, forming a comprehensive, coordinated development system within the industry chain. Eight supporting events, including the Auto Parts Overseas Forum and the Lean Digital Improvement Conference, held during the expo provided intellectual support for this industry transformation.

 

The drive system exhibition area, featuring drive shafts, was a highlight of the expo, attracting a large number of visitors. Many international buyers expressed strong interest in this drive shaft, which combines lightweight design with high strength, believing it offers significant advantages in improving the range and optimizing power of new energy vehicles. Exhibitor representatives stated, "Through the Wenzhou Auto Parts Expo, we not only showcased our independently developed drive shaft technology but also saw the broad potential for integrating traditional components with new energy technologies."

 

As of press time, several cooperation agreements had been reached at the expo. This industrial feast that brings together global resources not only highlights Wenzhou's industrial heritage as the "Auto Parts Capital of China", but also conveys to the world the firm pace of transformation and upgrading of China's auto parts industry through innovative products such as drive shafts.
